The best coaches, teachers and leaders have a different navigation. They serve something greater than themselves to help maximize the development of their people and organization. There is a science they subscribe to, iterate on, and improve upon to meet the specificity of their people, but the science is made real through an individualized artistry that only they can bring to its full efficacy. They aren't prisoners to the results of the match on the weekend and are guided by the infinite game of development.

I am a former professional soccer player, current professional soccer coach and the Founder of The Developer's Way. I am driven to change the trajectory of our soccer culture by defining the science of development and empowering coaches to find their artistry within it. The Developer's Way is a philosophy that lays out the core components of development, but never impinges upon a leader's ability to pursue their own artistry. It has been my passion to deconstruct leadership, development and the like to create the ultimate guide to help leaders and players pursue their potential.

To this point, I have coached, played and experienced every level in our soccer culture from youth soccer to Major League Soccer (MLS) (LinkedIn Bio), and my firm belief is that as a soccer culture, we are failing across the board in our ability to create developmental environments for players at every level. Our soccer culture's potential has been curtailed because of this. We have fostered a soccer culture where non-developmental leadership styles have become the standard for player development and because of this, player development has suffered across the board. I have observed and experienced these environments first hand as a player and as a coach, and it has become my mission to move the game forward with development as its new navigation.

  I believe The Developer's Way can provide a way forward for our soccer culture, and a platform to push the sport to levels we have yet to collectively experience. But even the greatest successes cannot compare to our moral obligation to provide true developmental environments that can help transform people and move our soccer culture closer to its potential.
